About this tour
Our 4 Days Desert Tour from Rabat to Merzouga takes you from Morocco’s capital through the Middle Atlas Mountains and cedar forests to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Cross the scenic Middle Atlas via Ifrane and Azrou’s cedar forests, then head south through the Ziz Valley toward the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a sunset camel trek and a night in a traditional Berber desert camp.
On the way back, stop at the towering Todra Gorges and the kasbah city of Ouarzazate, then visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou before crossing the High Atlas to Marrakech.

Pick-up in Rabat and travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland,” and the cedar forest of Azrou to see monkeys. Overnight in Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas ranges.

Continue through the dramatic Ziz Valley, passing kasbahs and oases. Arrive in Merzouga by afternoon. Meet your camel guide and ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight in a luxury or standard desert camp.

Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Drop-off at your accommodation. End of the tour.
